Hi, I'm Borba.
I'm a developer living in Canada by way of Brazil. This blog is my home directory on the web — the place where I keep what I'm learning, in public, before I forget it.
I write about software the way I actually practice it — small tools, boring choices, calm terminals — and about the ADHD brain that makes those choices necessary. And because moving countries rewires you, there's a steady stream of field notes about winter, small talk, and finding the words for feelings that only exist in Portuguese.
Everything here is written slowly and published anyway. If something you read helps you build a calmer setup, a kinder system, or a warmer winter, it did its job.
A photo is coming — winter light permitting.

Now
- Levelling up at skating — currently: letting go of the boards for entire seconds.
- Rebuilding winterkit with real wind-chill math instead of vibes.
- Reading in Portuguese again, one chapter a night, to keep the feelings-words sharp.
